SADC Sales Manager – ADM (Lusaka, Zambia)

ADM, a world leader in agriculture and nutrition, is seeking a SADC Sales Manager to drive commercial sales and business development in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. Based in Lusaka, Zambia, this role is ideal for an experienced sales professional with a strong background in the animal nutrition and feed industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Drive sales growth for ADM’s animal nutrition products across the SADC region.
- Identify and maximize new business opportunities with feed millers, producers, suppliers, and consultants.
- Develop and execute a 3–5-year business plan for regional growth.
- Lead commercial initiatives for ADM’s premix brand, additives, and specialty ingredients.
- Establish and manage distributor and agent networks within the region.
- Conduct market analysis and sales forecasting to ensure strategic decision-making.
2. Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients and industry partners.
- Represent ADM at technical forums, industry conferences, and networking events.
- Provide technical sales support and collaborate with ADM’s internal teams, including product management, logistics, and marketing.
- Deliver excellent customer service by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions.
3. Sales Performance & Reporting
- Track and analyze sales performance, market trends, and business opportunities.
- Provide regular reports on revenue, pipeline development, and go-to-market strategies.
- Work with internal teams to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
To succeed in this role, you should have:
✅ BSc in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related business degree.
✅ Minimum of 4 years’ experience in sales within the feed industry (SADC region experience preferred).
✅ Proven track record in business development, key account management, and commercial strategy.
✅ Strong technical knowledge of animal nutrition, feed production, and agricultural sales.
✅ Experience working with SAP, Salesforce, or similar IT tools.
✅ Ability to develop long-term client relationships and negotiate contracts.
✅ Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills.
✅ Willingness to travel locally and internationally for business development.
✅ Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work under pressure.
