Zambia Air Services Training Institute (ZASTI) is a Training Institution under the Ministry of Transport and Logistics whose mission is “To effectively Provide Quality Aviation Training and other Aviation Support Services in order to Contribute to Safety and Growth of the Aviation Industry”. ZASTI has a mandate to produce human resource required for the civil aviation industry.
As an equal opportunity employer, ZASTI is looking for suitably qualified, dynamic and self-motivated Zambian nationals to fill the following positions:-
1. LECTURER – AVIONICS (4 Positions)
Job Summary
The Lecturer shall be responsible for conducting ground training in subject areas required for a license or rating.
He shall also be responsible for conducting training in Avionics.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Avionics with a minimum of two years work experience or Diploma in Avionics with minimum of four (4) years work experience
- Must have a certificate in Teaching Methodology or any instructional Course
- A holder of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License in Category R&X
- Have an appropriate Instructor’s Rating or be approved by Zambia Civil Aviation authority (CAA)
2. LECTURER – INFORMATION COMMUNICATION AND TECHNOLOGY (2 Positions)
The Lecturer shall be responsible for conducting training in subject areas of Information Communication Technology (ICT) as well as general management of day to day classroom.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with five o-level credits.
- Should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in ICT.
- Should have a least two years post qualifying work experience
- Must have a certificate in Teaching Methodology or any Instructional Course from a recognized Institution.
3. LECTURER-AIR TRAFFIC SERVICES (2 Positions)
Job Summary
The instructor is responsible for conducting training in subject areas required for a license or rating and also responsible to give instruction in Air Traffic Services.
Qualification Requirements
- Grade 12 School Certificate,
- Should have a minimum of a diploma in Air Traffic Services and/or Diploma in the relevant fields.
- Must have two (2) years of industrial work experience in Air Traffic Service units,
- Must have the appropriate Air Traffic Service Instructor’s ratings up to Area Non-Radar Control Course as approved by Civil Aviation Authority.
- Should be a holder of a minimum of a certificate in Teaching or certificate in Teaching Methodology
- A certificate in an On The Job Instructional Course, an added advantage.
4. LECTURER – RESCUE FIRE SERVICES (2 Positions)
Job Summary
The Lecturer is responsible for conducting training in subject areas required for a license or rating; and also, responsible to give instruction in Rescue Fire Services.
Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
- Grade 12 School Certificate,
- Should have a minimum of a Diploma in Rescue Fire Services or Airport Rescue Fire Services Officer’s Certificate.
- Must have two (2) years of industrial work experience in Rescue Fire Services Brigades,
- Should poses a minimum of a Certificate in Teaching or Teaching Methodology
- A certificate in PSV driving as an added advantage.
Job Summary
5. LECTURER – AVIATION SECURITY (1 Position)
The Lecturer is responsible for conducting training in subject areas required for a license or rating; and also, responsible to give instruction in Aviation Security.
Education and Work Experience Qualification Requirements
- Grade 12 School Certificate,
- Shall have appropriate experience in aviation
- Must have a minimum of a Certificate in Aviation Security
- Have the appropriate Instructor’s rating or be approved by ZCAA
- Have Teaching Methodology qualification.
6. INTERNAL AUDITOR (1 Position)
Job Summary
To provide assurance to the ZASTI Management team and the Board of Directors on the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the governance, risk management and control systems for the Institute.
Education and Work Experience Qualification Requirements
- Full Grade 12 Certificate with credits in 5 “O” Levels including Mathematics and English.
- Degree in Accounting/Full ACCA/CIMA or equivalentPaid up Member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants
- 5 years proven working experience as an Internal Auditor
7. Procurement Officer (1. Position)
Job Summary
To prepare stock and non-stock items for the Institute to ensure availability and smooth operations of the Institute
Education and Work Experience Qualification Requirements
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate with credits in 5 ‘O’ levels including English, Mathematics and Science
- Advanced Diploma (level 5) in CIPS or equivalent
- Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
- At least three (3) years of hands-on work experience preferably in a public institution.
- Must be conversant with Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2022 law and Public Procurement Regulations of 2022.
