We are currently seeking a Packaging Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and adherence to quality and safety standards in our packaging section.

Job Overview

The Packaging Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating, training, and supervising the packaging team to maintain high production standards while ensuring equipment availability and performance. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

1. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and reviewing risk assessments (HIRA, PHA, JHA).
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines (SOPs, SWIs).
  • Maintain high housekeeping and workplace organization standards in the packaging area.

2. Equipment Maintenance & Optimization

  • Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of packaging equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency.
  • Ensure all control and automation systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.

3. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop a high-performing packaging team through structured training programs.
  • Conduct skills assessments and implement development plans for team members.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and innovation.

4. Production Coordination & Process Optimization

  • Plan and execute daily packaging operations to meet production targets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve packaging processes and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Operating Practices (GOP) and VPO (Voyager Plant Optimization) principles.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or a similar industry.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills with hands-on workshop experience.
  • Experience in production planning and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of Control & Automation Systems is an advantage.
