1. Geologist

Location: Mansa, Zambia
Reports to: Senior Geologist / Exploration Manager

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Geologist to conduct geological assessments, mineral exploration, and resource evaluations. This role requires significant fieldwork experience, data analysis expertise, and a strong understanding of mining regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct geological mapping, sampling, and mineral exploration activities.
  • Analyze geological data using GIS and modeling software.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports on mineral deposits and exploration findings.
  • Ensure full compliance with environmental and mining regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers and environmental teams to optimize mining operations.
  • Advise management on resource estimates and geological risks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in geological exploration or mining operations.
  • Registration with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) or relevant professional body.
  • Proficiency in geological software (e.g., GIS, Leapfrog, Surpac).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

2. Safety Officer

Location: Mansa, Zambia
Reports to: HSE Manager

Job Summary:
The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and enforcing workplace health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections on-site.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies in compliance with Zambian labor laws.
  • Provide safety training and awareness programs to employees.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports with recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Institute (OHSI) Zambia and other regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain and update safety records, audits, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in workplace safety and compliance.
  • Registration with a recognized safety professional body (e.g., Zambia Institute of Safety and Health).
  • Knowledge of Zambian occupational health and safety laws.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

3. Senior Accountant

Location: Mansa, Zambia
Reports to: Finance Manager

Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will oversee financial reporting, tax compliance, and general accounting functions while ensuring compliance with Zambian financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with IFRS and Zambian tax laws.
  • Oversee general ledger reconciliations and month-end closing processes.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) and tax authorities.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Handle external audits and liaise with auditors.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Registered with ZICA and holding a professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CA Zambia.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

4. Junior Accountant

Location: Mansa, Zambia
Reports to: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:
The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting functions, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record financial transactions and reconcile accounts.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
  • Process invoices, payments, and payroll transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with Zambian tax regulations and ZICA standards.
  • Support audits and internal financial reviews.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Registration with ZICA and actively pursuing ACCA, CIMA, or CA Zambia certification.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP).
  • Attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
