Pestalozzi World Zambia is seeking a qualified and experienced Driver to support transport operations at Ibex Hill Children’s Village.

Job Purpose

The Driver will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional transportation of staff, students, and goods while maintaining the organization's vehicles in top condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide reliable transport services for Pestalozzi Children’s Village and Pestalozzi Education Centre.
  • Ensure all vehicle documentation is up-to-date and compliant, including:
    • Insurance
    • Vehicle tax certificates
    • Fitness certification
    • Registration documents
  • Conduct regular vehicle maintenance and routine servicing.
  • Identify and report any necessary repairs before they cause major issues.
  • Coordinate major repairs with approved garages, obtaining quotes for approval.
  • Maintain clean and presentable vehicles at all times.
  • Plan and manage a weekly transport schedule to meet organizational needs.
  • Monitor fuel levels and maintain accurate fuel consumption records.
  • Ensure professional interaction with passengers and clients.
  • Keep detailed mileage and maintenance records.
  • Assist with administrative transport needs, including office pick-ups.
  • Plan efficient routes using navigation tools to minimize delays.

The selected candidate may be assigned additional duties based on organizational needs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

✅ Valid Manual Driving License (PSV endorsement preferred)
✅ Minimum of 5 years' professional driving experience
✅ Grade 12 Certificate (or equivalent)
✅ Strong understanding of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance
✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✅ Reliable, responsible, and professional with a clean driving record
