Job Overview:
Airtel is looking for a Site Acquisition Lead to oversee the acquisition and management of sites and facilities in compliance with company policies and local regulations. The role involves negotiations, landlord management, project oversight, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with landlords for sites and retail shops.
- Negotiate and finalize lease agreements to support site acquisition targets.
- Coordinate with Finance on rental payments and regulatory fees.
- Prepare performance reports and track budget utilization.
- Oversee project management for site and shop developments.
- Work with vendors for site surveys and logistical support.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with ZEMA, municipal councils, and other authorities.
- Monitor maintenance and repairs of retail shops.
- Ensure projects are completed within timelines, budget, and quality standards.
Requirements:
✅ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Management, Land Economy, Urban & Regional Planning, Facilities Management, Building Science, or a related field.
✅ Membership: Zambia Institute of Valuation Surveyors (ZIVS) membership required.
✅ Experience:
- 2–3 years’ experience in a fast-paced multinational environment.
- Telecom industry experience is an added advantage.
✅ Skills: - Strong real estate and facilities management knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure.
- Good understanding of land laws and regulations.
