Shop/Office Assistant

I-Catch Optical invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill in the position of Shop/Office Assistant.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS, QUALITIES & ABILITIES

  • Full grade twelve certificate
  • Diploma in Business Administration or any Business related course
  • Knowledge of optical business will be an added advantage
  • Past experience in a busy optical dispensary is desired
  • The candidate should be self-motivated
  • People skills
  • Great customer services skills
  • Valid Driver’s license will be added advantage

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all administration tasks
  • Schedule and arrange appointments for customers
  • Be the first contact for customers
  • Help customers select the correct frames for their lenses
  • Ordering of prescription lenses
  • Call and advise customers of jobs ready for collection
  • Carry out minor pre-screening tests
  • Answer customers’ queries in person or over the phone
  • Explain product offerings to the customers
  • Collect payments from customers
  • Timely invoicing of credit customers
  • Ensure timely collection of payments from credit customers
  • Carry out reconciliations of customer accounts
